Richard Kary, an executive of the Standard Oil Company, founded South Minnesota Lubes (formally called South Minnesota Oil) in 1971 with one simple mission in mind, to bring value and increased profitability to our clients business through education, outstanding client services and the highest quality products every time we conduct business with them.

Today South Minnesota Lubes is one of the largest lubricants distributors and lubricant service companies in the country. Although our business has changed over the years to encompass a much broader spectrum of valued-added offerings, we still live by that simple mission put fourth over 40-years ago.
